CowParade uses life-sized fiberglass cows as a canvas, which national artists then decorate to create a unique work of art. The Cowparade event was planned for Zurich only, but eventually the CowParade was held in many of the world's major cities. From New York to London, Sydney to Tokyo, Brussels, Las Vegas and Dublin, the CowParade has taken place and captured the hearts of many art lovers around the world. At the end of each CowParade, the decorated cows are auctioned off at a public auction, and the majority of the proceeds go to local charities. Many of the Cowparade cows have now been lovingly reproduced in miniature and are available in both ceramic and polyresin. CowParade has become a beautiful and endearing collector's item, and each cow has a small card with detailed information about where it was exhibited and who the artist was.
